“It came back!” I stare.
Shotgun this time.
Gone.
Legs fail at first. Then grab hold.
Tail wags.
Puppy returns again.
written as part of a challenge called Six Sentence Stories, details are available at https://unchartedblogdotorg.wordpress.com/2017/02/26/sss-cue-of-the-week-2/
Interesting short – lots of options to consider.

very cool Six. In fact, cool in a relatively rare way, i.e. my enjoyment (and appreciation) grew with reading the Comments (and Replies) that followed the story.
‘Legs fail at first. Then grab hold.
Tail wags’
a whole bunch ‘o imagery

I try writing in 21 words or less on this blog. It makes for interesting word choices and implying things. I really had fun with the idea of the returnee being a dog. Thanks for the kind words.

Reminds me of the six word Hemingway story – For Sale: Baby Shoes. Never Worn. Volumes in a few words.

I have played with six word stories and even been to Key West. That’s where Hemingway and I split apart. Of course that dead thing is a problem.

Thank you for the kind words. I have taken to small postings. Fiction is more interesting this way but six sentences is pushing the limit. 🙂

Thank you for the kind words. I have shortened the quill and started a separate blog for tiny posts. After awhile 21 words gets easy.
